报告摘要:In this talk, I will present recent developments in the theory of Landau damping for the Vlasov–Poisson system, with a focus on nonlinear dynamics near various equilibrium states. The discussion will cover both rapidly decaying equilibria and non-monotone, compactly supported profiles, highlighting the distinct analytical challenges and insights that arise in each setting. I will also discuss non-smooth Penrose-stable radial equilibria, whose regularity is limited to BV^2, the class of functions whose second derivatives are of bounded variation.

He subsequently spent five years in three postdoctoral positions at EPFL Lausanne, SNS Pisa, and New York University Abu Dhabi. In 2019, he joined ShanghaiTech University, China, and he is now affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research spans several areas of analysis and PDEs, including regularity theory for quasilinear elliptic and parabolic equations, nonlinear potential theory, the DiPerna–Lions theory for transport equations, free boundary problems in fluid dynamics (such as the Muskat and Peskin problems), mean-field limits, nonlinear Landau damping, and the regularity theory of the Boltzmann equation.
